        "content": "<p>BEKASI, KOMPAS.com \u2013 PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian\nBarat has assured that it will take full responsibility for the victims\nand residents affected by the fire at the Bulk LPG Filling Station\n(SPBE) in Cimuning, Mustika Jaya, Bekasi City.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCertainly, we have coordinated with the SPBE party that for\npost-incident handling, especially for the affected victims and\nsurrounding residents, it will be our full responsibility,\u201d said Area\nManager for Communication, Relations &amp; CSR at Pertamina Regional\nJBB, Susanto August Satria, to the media at the location on Thursday\n(2\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Susanto emphasised that all medical needs of the victims will be\ncovered by Pertamina as a form of the company\u2019s responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Pertamina is also open to providing compensation for\nresidents\u2019 homes damaged by the fire. Damage assessments will be\nconducted jointly with local government, from RT and RW levels up to the\nsub-district.<\/p>\n<p>To date, Pertamina has not been able to disclose the exact chronology\nof the incident as it is still awaiting the results of the investigation\nfrom the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the chronology, we cannot confirm yet, as we still need to\ngather statements from witnesses and related parties at the location,\u201d\nsaid Susanto.<\/p>\n<p>He also conveyed an apology for the incident that occurred at the\nSPBE, which is a Pertamina partner.<\/p>\n<p>According to Susanto, the main focus at present is handling the\nimpact of the incident and ensuring that conditions around the location\nremain safe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank the fire department and authorities who have secured the\nsituation. Cooling operations were carried out around 00.00 WIB,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the incident, Pertamina assures that LPG supplies for the public\nare unaffected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLPG supplies remain safe and uninterrupted for the served areas,\u201d\nsaid Susanto.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the Cimuning SPBE is a Pertamina partner managed by\na private entity and has been operational since 2009, when the\nsurrounding environment was not as dense as it is now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a Pertamina partner managed by a private company and it has\nthe necessary permits,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
