Operations at Medan Fuel Terminal and several petrol stations have been optimised to 24 hours, with distribution realisation reaching 104 per cent of the daily target.

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has affirmed its commitment to maintaining
reliable fuel distribution by taking firm action against tanker drivers
proven to have committed violations. “We give no tolerance to any
violation that could disrupt the reliability of fuel distribution. All
processes are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations so
that service to the public remains optimal,” said VP Corporate
Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, in a statement
confirmed on Wednesday. Kitty stated that enforcing discipline is part
of the company’s efforts to maintain the security, safety, and quality
of fuel distribution services. Pertamina Patra Niaga has ensured that
these measures do not disrupt operations. Currently, fuel distribution
to public filling stations (SPBU) in the Medan area is running normally
and fuel stocks are in a safe condition. Pertamina noted that the demand
for fuel oil (BBM) in the Medan region, North Sumatra, increased by 5-10
per cent compared to the daily average. The increase in fuel demand in
recent days has occurred alongside rising public activity, including the
resumption of school and office activities which has driven higher
mobility. Pertamina has responded by accelerating the strengthening of
distribution capacity so that the public’s energy needs continue to be
met without hindrance. As a step to accelerate distribution, Pertamina
Patra Niaga has added 10 operational tanker units, 30 spot charter
tanker units, and strengthened distribution personnel with an additional
34 Tanker Crew (AMT) from the nearest Fuel Terminal and support from 16
personnel from the Army Supply and Transport Directorate (Bekangdam).
The company also continues to provide guidance and take action against
disciplinary violations by all operational partners to ensure the
distribution process runs according to safety, compliance, and
reliability standards. In addition, operations at the Medan Fuel
Terminal and a number of SPBUs have been optimised for 24 hours to speed
up fuel distribution to the public. These efforts have yielded positive
results. On 14 July 2026, distribution realisation reached 104 per cent
of the daily target, with the operation of 149 tanker units, or 115 per
cent.
",
