The Director of Retail Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Ricky\nSusanto, stated that Pertamina is supporting the electric vehicle (EV)\necosystem through its Green Energy Stations, which provide Public\nElectric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).<\/p>\n
\u201cThey (Green Energy Stations) also feature EV charging facilities,\nsuitable for both four-wheel and two-wheel vehicles. This is one of the\nways Pertamina Patra Niaga supports the EV ecosystem. We are preparing\nfor this,\u201d Eko said during a media briefing held in Yogyakarta on\nFriday.<\/p>\n
Eko explained that this step reflects Pertamina\u2019s commitment to its\ncustomers\u2019 journeys. He noted that individuals who own electric vehicles\noften still possess conventional vehicles that rely on fossil fuels.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince their journeys frequently take them to petrol stations, we are\nnow developing SPKLU facilities at petrol stations that have sufficient\nspace,\u201d Elar Eko said.<\/p>\n
He directed that petrol stations with large areas should develop EV\ncharging facilities, particularly those located in major cities.\n\u201cSpecifically in large cities, this is to make it easier for consumers\nto access energy, based on both fuel and electric vehicles,\u201d Eko\nadded.<\/p>\n
Pertamina has recorded 761 Green Energy Stations to date. Eko further\ndetailed that there are 111 EV charging stations and 107 battery\nswapping stations for electric motorcycles.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, there are a total of 761 petrol stations that are based\non the green energy station model, equipped with various supporting\nfacilities,\u201d Eko said.<\/p>\n
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, noted\nthat car sales have risen by 33.3 per cent, with electric vehicles and\nhybrid cars specifically increasing by over 40 per cent.<\/p>\n
According to him, this statement aligns with PLN data, which recorded\nelectricity consumption at Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations\n(SPKLU) reaching 62.4 million kilowatt hours (kWh) up to June 2026. This\nsix-month realisation has already surpassed the total SPKLU electricity\nconsumption for the whole of 2025, which was recorded at 48.5 million\nkWh, representing a 28 per cent growth.<\/p>\n
In addition to observing real economic activity within the automotive\nsector, Airlangga also highlighted that total electricity sales showed\nan increase of 10.8 per cent.<\/p>\n
