Makassar, South Sulawesi - PT Pertamina Patata Niaga Regional\nSulawesi is increasing the supply of fuel and 3kg LPG to meet the energy\nneeds of the community.<\/p>\n
Deny Sukendar, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga\nRegional Sulawesi, stated in Makassar on Thursday that the company has\nrecorded a 10-15 per cent increase in diesel demand from June to August\n2026. This surge is attributed to increased logistics activity, widening\nprice disparities, and indications of unauthorised fuel distribution\nactivities.<\/p>\n
The price increase for non-subsidised fuel on 1 September 2026 has\nfurther widened the disparity, impacting the demand for diesel at\nseveral petrol stations.<\/p>\n
In the last two to three days, heavy queues have also been observed\nduring the distribution of Pertalite fuel.<\/p>\n
To address these conditions, Pertamina has increased fuel allocations\nby approximately 10-15 per cent from the average daily distribution in\nhigh-demand areas and has strengthened the distribution of 3kg LPG by up\nto 130 per cent.<\/p>\n
Pertamina is also implementing marshalling at petrol stations\nexperiencing heavy queues, directing vehicles to other stations with\nlighter traffic.<\/p>\n
As an additional service measure, the operating hours of 16 petrol\nstations in Makassar will be extended to 24 hours.<\/p>\n
With 11 petrol stations previously operating 24 hours a day, there\nwill now be a total of 25 stations providing round-the-clock service in\nMakassar.<\/p>\n
Deny stated that all these measures are being taken to ensure smooth\ndistribution while responding to changes in public energy consumption\npatterns.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to adjust distribution based on actual conditions on the\nground. This includes increasing allocations, managing queues through\nmarshalling, strengthening LPG supplies, and expanding petrol station\noperating hours,\u201d he said during an audience with the Governor of South\nSulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.<\/p>\n
