Jakarta (ANTARA) - Subsidiaries of Pertamina Subholding Upstream\nRegional Java have successfully received awards in the Green category at\nthe 2025 Programme for Assessing Company Performance in Environmental\nManagement (PROPER) event organised by the Ministry of Environment and\nForestry.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis award serves as proof that our environmental management is not\nonly focused on compliance but also provides real benefits to society.\nMoving forward, we will continue to promote adaptive, collaborative, and\nsustainable innovations,\u201d said Manager of Communication, Relations &\nCID at Pertamina EP Regional Java, Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono, in a\nstatement received in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
The subsidiaries of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional Java\ninclude PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ),\nPertamina EP Subang Field, Pertamina EP Tambun Field, and Pertamina\nEP.<\/p>\n
PROPER is one of the government\u2019s policy instruments that encourages\ncompanies to improve their environmental management performance in a\ntransparent, accountable manner, while involving the community.<\/p>\n
Through PROPER, he continued, companies are not only required to meet\nstandards but also to introduce innovations that add value to the\nenvironment and society.<\/p>\n
This success is supported by various social and environmental\ninnovation programmes implemented in operational areas, which focus not\nonly on ecological aspects but also on sustainably empowering\ncommunities.<\/p>\n
At Pertamina EP Tambun Field, the Cemerlang Lestari programme in\nKarawang Kulon, Karawang Regency, serves as a community-based effort to\nprotect women and children, integrated with environmental and economic\naspects.<\/p>\n
The programme develops various innovations, from family strengthening\nservices and gender education to environmentally friendly products based\non natural fibres.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, through the Purnama Subang programme, Pertamina EP Subang\nField focuses on empowering former migrant workers and vulnerable groups\nthrough economic strengthening based on local potential. The programme\nintegrates environmentally friendly technology, such as the use of solar\nenergy in agriculture, as well as community-based waste management in\nCompreng Village, Subang.<\/p>\n
Pertamina EP Jatibarang Field, with the Jari Tangan (Independent\nFarming and Food Security) programme, promotes environmentally friendly\nfarming practices through the use of organic fertilisers, development of\nbiological agents, and integration of renewable energy to increase\nproductivity and community food resilience.<\/p>\n
The programme is implemented in Karanganyar Village, Kedokanbunder\nWetan Village, and Margadadi Ward, Indramayu Regency.<\/p>\n
PHE ONWJ develops the Jam Pasir (Protecting Nature Through Coastal\nCommunity Empowerment) social innovation programme, which integrates\nenvironmental conservation with economic empowerment for coastal\ncommunities in Pasir Putih, Karawang Regency.<\/p>\n
The programme focuses on controlling abrasion through mangrove\nplanting and sedimentation management technology, while also optimising\nwaste management into new economic value sources for the community.<\/p>\n
This success in achieving Green PROPER demonstrates the application\nof Good Corporate Governance principles in conducting safe, reliable,\nand environmentally friendly operations.<\/p>\n
