PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has stated that the implementation of B50\nbiodiesel is receiving a positive response from the public. To date, the\ncompany claims it has not received any significant complaints from\nBiosolar B50 users, particularly within the retail sector.<\/p>\n
The President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN), Mars Ega\nLegowo Putra, noted that public response to B50 has been favourable in\nterms of both quality and quantity. Pertamina continues to monitor user\nfeedback through its call centre services to ensure the quality of B50\ndistribution.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlhamdulillah, up to this point, there have been no significant\ncomplaints from B50 users, especially in the retail sector,\u201d said Mars\nduring a meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives (DPR RI) at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on\nTuesday (8\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
The implementation of B50 is also steadily expanding across Pertamina\nPatra Niaga\u2019s distribution network. As of 5 September 2026, 6,050 out of\n6,412 fuel stations that distribute Biosolar have supplied B50, reaching\na coverage of 94 per cent.<\/p>\n
There are still 362 fuel stations distributing Biosolar B40. Mars\nmentioned that most of these stations are located in remote areas and\nstill face challenges regarding handling and distribution.<\/p>\n
At the fuel terminal level, B50 has been distributed in 120 out of\n121 terminals owned by Pertamina Patra Niaga. One terminal in Sintang,\nWest Kalimantan, has yet to distribute B50 due to drought conditions\ncausing riverbed shrinkage, which has hindered access to the\nterminal.<\/p>\n
Regionally, B50 distribution has reached 99 per cent of fuel stations\nin western Java and 98 per cent in central Java. Distribution in\nnorthern Sumatra has reached 96 per cent, followed by Sulawesi, East\nJava-Bali, and Kalimantan at 96 per cent, 96 per cent, and 95 per cent\nrespectively, while southern Sumatra has reached 93 per cent.<\/p>\n
The Director General of EBTKE at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral\nResources (ESDM), Eniya Listiani Dewi, stated that national B50\ndistribution is being accelerated following the B50 mandate which took\neffect on 1 July 2026. As of September 2026, the total biodiesel\ndistributed reached 10.69 million kilolitres, including approximately\n3.4 million kilolitres of B50 since July.<\/p>\n
According to Eniya, the government aims to ensure FAME availability\nto meet the B50 mandate for 2026 within the range of 16.8 million to 18\nmillion kilolitres. The government also continues to monitor the\ntransition process from B40 to B50, including providing relaxation to\ndeplete B40 stocks until 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n
The implementation of B50 is considered part of the effort to\nincrease the utilisation of domestic energy raw materials while reducing\ndependence on diesel imports.
