PT Pertamina (Persero) has relaunched the Pertamina UMK Academy 2026,\na coaching programme for micro and small enterprises (UMK) designed to\nimprove competence, strengthen businesses, and expand market access.\nRegistration for the Pertamina UMK Academy 2026 opened online from 21 to\n31 August 2026 via umkacademy.id\/onboarding.<\/p>\n
Since it was first held in 2020, Pertamina UMK Academy has been\ndesigned as a structured coaching programme that supports UMK players\naccording to the stages of their business development. Participants\nreceive training on business management, product development, technology\nutilisation, and market expansion, with assistance from accelerators,\nmentors, and professional coaches.<\/p>\n
Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero),\nMuhammad Baron, said Pertamina UMK Academy is part of Pertamina\u2019s\ncommitment to fostering resilient, adaptive, and competitive local\nenterprises. \u201cThrough Pertamina UMK Academy, Pertamina not only provides\nknowledge but also assists UMK players in applying the learning directly\nto their business development. Participants are encouraged to strengthen\ngovernance, improve product quality, utilise technology, collaborate,\nand expand market access,\u201d Baron said.<\/p>\n
Pertamina UMK Academy is implemented through two coaching stages:\nregional and national. The regional stage focuses on strengthening\nbusiness fundamentals according to each participant\u2019s sector.\nParticipants who pass to the national stage then receive coaching based\non their level of business readiness.<\/p>\n
The national coaching is divided into four classes: Go Modern for\nstrengthening business management, Go Digital for utilising\ndigitalisation in business processes, Go Online for optimising online\nchannels and expanding markets, and Go Global for preparing UMKs to\nenter business-to-business (B2B) markets, both domestic and export.<\/p>\n
In 2026, Pertamina is also integrating two special modules: Go Green\nand Go Aggregator. Go Green encourages the adoption of more\nenvironmentally friendly business practices, while Go Aggregator equips\nparticipants to build collaborations and open broader market\nopportunities with other UMK players.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery UMK player has different needs and levels of readiness.\nTherefore, the materials and mentoring are tailored to each business\u2019s\nposition and development so that the coaching process delivers more\ntangible and measurable results,\u201d Baron added.<\/p>\n
In the 2025 Pertamina UMK Academy, more than 2,000 UMK players\nregistered. A total of 1,430 selected participants took part in the\nregional coaching stage, and 760 participants advanced to the national\nstage. Of that number, 581 participants were declared graduates and\nmoved up a class.<\/p>\n
One of them was Melani Septina Mutya Surya, owner of NOBF shoe craft\nbusiness from Mojokerto, who won first place in the Go Global class of\nUMK Academy 2025. According to Melani, the coaching she received helped\nimprove product quality while strengthening business development.\n\u201cVarious business training, intensive mentoring, and support for\nproduction equipment helped us optimise product development while better\nunderstanding market opportunities and conditions for business growth,\u201d\nMelani said.<\/p>\n
