        "content": "<p>A sense of hope and renewed spirit filled the grounds of the old\nPertamina building in Central Jakarta on Friday (10\/7). PT Pertamina\nPatra Niaga supported the implementation of PT Pertamina (Persero)\u2018s\nsocial programmes, which share benefits with the community through\n\u2019Seragam Sekolah untuk Semua\u2019 (SESAMA), \u2018Pasar Murah Sembako\u2019 (PUSAKO),\nand the launch of \u2018Ultra Mikro Pertamina Aksi\u2019 (UMiMAX). On this\noccasion, Pertamina distributed 1,000 school uniform and stationery\npackages through the SESAMA programme. The company also provided 1,000\nsubsidised staple food packages through the PUSAKO programme, with all\nproceeds channelled to orphanages and places of worship. Additionally,\nPertamina launched the UMiMAX programme, which provides productive\nbusiness equipment, training, and empowerment for ultra-micro\nenterprises to underprivileged communities. These programmes targeted\nvarious groups, including online and conventional motorcycle taxi\ndrivers, compressed natural gas (BBG) bajaj drivers, honorary teachers,\npeople with disabilities, public infrastructure and facilities\nmaintenance officers (PPSU), and firefighting personnel. Assistance was\nalso provided to underprivileged communities around Pertamina\u2019s\noperational areas. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth\nMV Dumatubun, stated that the company fully supports the implementation\nof this programme to back the President\u2019s priority programmes in poverty\nalleviation and strengthening food security. \u2018The energy we distribute\nevery day ultimately leads back to the community\u2019s life. Therefore, we\nwant Pertamina\u2019s care to be present in forms that are close to their\nneeds, from helping children go to school, fulfilling family needs, to\nopening opportunities for people to build businesses and improve their\nwelfare. One UMiMAX beneficiary, Suwandi,\nadmitted that the business cart assistance he received motivated him to\ndevelop his business as a source of livelihood for himself and his\nchild. \u2018Previously, I wanted to expand my coffee and beverage business\nbut lacked capital. Similarly, Adenia,\nan online motorcycle taxi driver who received a subsidised staple food\npackage through the PUSAKO programme, felt helped. \u2018I am very happy\nbecause there is a cheap market and affordable staple foods. With\nRp30,000, I got rice, oil, sugar, biscuits, coffee, and more. I\ninitially found out from an online driver group and was sceptical about\nsuch a programme, but it turned out to be true,\u2019 Adenia said. The event\nproceeded warmly with the handover of aid, accompanied by hopeful\nstories from the community members who were helped.
