Kitty Andhora, VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra\nNiage, stated in Jakarta on Sunday that through various community\ninvolvement and development (CID) programmes, the company is focusing on\neducation, character strengthening, and improving the quality of\nlearning environments.<\/p>\n
This commitment is realised through various initiatives within the\ncompany\u2019s operational areas, including the \u2018Rumah Anak Pesisir\u2019 (RASI)\nprogramme in Bitung, North Sulawesi, and the \u2018Tanam Energi Barokah\u2019\n(TEBAR) 4.0 programme in Cilacap, Central Java.<\/p>\n
In Bitung, North Sulawesi, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi,\nthrough the Bitung Integrated Terminal, developed RASI as a non-formal\neducational space that provides learning experiences closely connected\nto the lives of coastal children.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a creative and contextual learning approach, this programme\nencourages children to recognise their potential, foster positive\ncharacter, and increase awareness of the environment in which they\ngrow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Chika, a driver of the RASI House, stated that through the \u2018Rumah\nCinta Kasih\u2019, they want every child to experience the same right to\neducation, love, and affection. \u201cWe believe that great change can start\nwith small steps taken with great love,\u201d Chika added.<\/p>\n
Since its implementation in 2023, the RASI programme has reached more\nthan 145 children as direct or indirect beneficiaries in the Candi\nSettlement area, Bitung Barat I, Bitung City, North Sulawesi. Over its\ntwo-year implementation, the programme has consistently delivered more\nthan 20 educational and character development activities, including the\nCoastal Children\u2019s Festival, Coastal Preservation Missions, local tutor\ncapacity building, handicraft activities, and various competitions and\nnational holiday commemorations.<\/p>\n
In Cilacap, Central Java, the company\u2019s commitment to education is\nrealised through the \u2018Relawan Pertamina Peduli\u2019 (Relpi) action by the\nPertamina Patra Niaga Cilacap Fuel Terminal as part of the TEBAR 4.0\nProgramme. Through donations collected from employees and the extended\nPertamina family, Relpi distributed educational aid worth more than IDR\n10 million to SD Negeri Bojong 03, Kawunganten District. The aid, which\nincluded whiteboards, printers, bins, and school stationery packages, is\nexpected to support the creation of a comfortable and high-quality\nlearning environment.<\/p>\n
TEBAR 4.0 Programme Coordinator, Farras Khibban, stated that the\nactivity is a form of care by Pertamina personnel for the future of\nIndonesian children. \u201cThis is a manifestation of the concern of\nvolunteers and the extended Pertamina family towards the world of\neducation. We hope this assistance further strengthens the spirit of\nchildren to continue learning and achieve their dreams,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
