Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia \u2013 Pertamina has opened a camping ground for\nthe first time at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in\nLombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). It will provide an alternative place\nto stay for riders\u2019 communities and crew during the Pertamina Grand Prix\nof Indonesia 2026.<\/p>\n
The camping ground, located near the circuit, can accommodate up to\n150 people. It has been set up for motoring communities travelling to\nMandalika on touring trips, including a group that set off from Jakarta\non 3 October.<\/p>\n
Pertamina Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita said the camping\nground was one of the company\u2019s contributions to supporting motoring\ncommunities visiting Mandalika for the Pertamina Grand Prix of\nIndonesia, which runs from 9 to 11 October 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the first camping ground managed by Pertamina. It will be\nused by friends from the riders\u2019 community,\u201d Arya said on Saturday (10\nOctober 2026).<\/p>\n
Arya said the facility was intended to provide visitors with an\nalternative form of accommodation. Occupancy at lodgings around\nMandalika is expected to rise during the MotoGP period.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the race period, it will certainly be very difficult to find\na place to stay because occupancy here is so high. People will need\nsomewhere to rest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
To make guests comfortable, the camping ground is equipped with a\nrange of facilities. Each bed comes with a mattress, pillow, carpet and\nsmall table, as well as access to electricity. Pertamina has also\nprovided bathroom and toilet facilities with clean water, along with a\nprayer room with ablution facilities and separate areas for male and\nfemale worshippers.<\/p>\n
There is also a dining area and a sports room equipped with table\ntennis facilities. Pertamina has arranged for a doctor to be on call 24\nhours a day, in coordination with a hospital in Mataram, to address\nvisitors\u2019 medical needs.<\/p>\n
Arya said the facility was expected to provide a comfortable place\nfor riders\u2019 communities to rest, as some would face long journeys home\nafter the race.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope everyone stays healthy and safe on the journey,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The camping ground also includes space for small and medium-sized\nenterprises (SMEs) supported by Pertamina. Visitors can buy food and\nother necessities from the stalls. The SMEs\u2019 presence is part of\nPertamina\u2019s effort to ensure the event offers not only an experience for\nspectators but also economic opportunities for local people.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf they want to get together, discuss things or chat, we also have\nstalls featuring Pertamina-supported SMEs. So we are creating benefits\nfor everyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The camping ground has also been designed to leave a lasting benefit\nafter the MotoGP. Arya said items such as mattresses and carpets used\nduring the event would be donated to communities around the circuit.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter this programme, the mattresses, carpets and other items can be\ndonated for needs in the area around the circuit.
