Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) recorded oil and\ngas production reaching 956 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day\n(MBOEPD) in the first quarter of 2026, indicating that the performance\nof Pertamina\u2019s Upstream Subholding remains stable.<\/p>\n
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina\u2019s Upstream Subholding, Hermansyah Y\nNasroen, stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that the production consisted of\n494 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD) and 2.75 billion standard\ncubic feet per day (BSCFD) of gas.<\/p>\n
In addition to stable production, performance in the first quarter of\n2026 was also marked by continuously increasing operational\nactivities.<\/p>\n
\u201cExploitation drilling activities reached 130 wells, demonstrating\nongoing efforts to maintain production levels,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, as part of the strategy to optimise production in\nexisting fields, workover activities were carried out on 261 wells and\nwell services on 6,124 wells.<\/p>\n
In the exploration sector, up to March 2026, 8 exploration wells had\nbeen drilled.<\/p>\n
Seismic survey activities also continued, with realisations of 2D\nseismic along 0.09 km and 3D seismic covering 914 km\u00b2, to support the\ndiscovery of new resource potential.<\/p>\n
These exploration efforts resulted in the discovery of 2C resources\namounting to 6.7 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, there was also an addition of proven reserves (P1) of 3.4\nMMBOE, which serves as a positive indicator in maintaining the\nsustainability of national energy supply.<\/p>\n
Hermansyah stated that these achievements reflect the consistency in\nimplementing operational and exploration strategies.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerformance up to March 2026 shows a positive trend, both in terms\nof production and the addition of resources and reserves. We continue to\ndrive the optimisation of existing fields while accelerating exploration\nactivities to ensure long-term production sustainability,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Hermansyah emphasised the company\u2019s commitment to\nmaintaining the performance momentum until the end of the year.<\/p>\n
