        "content": "<p>PT Pertamina (Persero) President Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan\ninspected the Labuan Bajo Fuel Terminal in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on\nTuesday, 18 August 2026. The visit was conducted to ensure fuel supplies\nremain secure and energy distribution runs smoothly after earthquakes\nstruck several areas in NTT.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, Iriawan also expressed appreciation to Pertamina\nworkers who remained on duty amid the emergency situation. He described\nthe field workers as \u201cheroes\u201d who keep energy supplies available for the\npublic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came here wanting to meet my heroes. These are the heroes, a small\nportion of whom are here, while the rest are in the field,\u201d said\nIriawan.<\/p>\n<p>Iriawan was accompanied by PT Pertamina (Persero) Corporate Secretary\nArya Dwi Paramita, Director of Downstream Optimisation and Distribution\nat PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Hari Purnomo, PT PPN Corporate\nSecretary Roberth Marcelino Verieza Dumatubun, EGM of PT PPN Regional\nJatimbalinus Iwan Yudha Wibawa, GHO of PT PPN Jatimbalinus Bimo Sagus,\nand several other Pertamina officers.<\/p>\n<p>According to Iriawan, his visit to Labuan Bajo was also to observe\nfirst-hand the condition and spirit of Pertamina Group officers tasked\nwith maintaining energy availability in earthquake-affected areas,\nincluding West Manggarai, East Manggarai, and Ruteng.<\/p>\n<p>He commended the rapid response of his team when road access from\nRuteng to Labuan Bajo was temporarily cut off due to the earthquake. The\nsituation prevented fuel tanker trucks from passing, forcing Pertamina\nto find alternative distribution routes.<\/p>\n<p>Within less than two days after the land route was severed, Pertamina\ndispatched a ferry carrying 11 fuel tanker trucks to Labuan Bajo. The\nsea route was chosen to maintain supply while preventing fuel shortages\nin the affected areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, it was an extraordinary lifeline, so that until now\nthere has been no shortage here,\u201d said Iriawan.<\/p>\n<p>Although fuel supply is generally secure, Iriawan said demand for\nkerosene in several areas has increased. Pertamina is coordinating with\nthe relevant authorities regarding the possibility of increasing\nquotas.<\/p>",
