PT Pertamina (Persero), through the Pertamina BUMN Houses in Aceh\nTamiang and East Aceh, has cumulatively mentored 1,013 micro, small, and\nmedium enterprise (MSME) actors.<\/p>\n
Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, Muhammad\nBaron, stated in Jakarta on Thursday that the presence of the BUMN\nHouses serves as a platform for MSMEs to increase business capacity,\nstrengthen product quality and competitiveness, and open access to wider\nmarkets.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince they began operating, the Pertamina BUMN Houses in Aceh\nTlamang and East Aceh have cumulatively mentored 1,013 MSME actors,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
In the mentoring process, Baron continued, the two BUMN Houses have\norganised 321 training sessions, facilitated MSMEs in 207 exhibition and\nmarket expansion activities, and supported the issuance of 1,375\nbusiness legalities and certifications.<\/p>\n
Mentoring is conducted sustainably by adjusting to the needs and\ndevelopmental stages of each MSME, ranging from competency and business\nmanagement enhancement, branding and packaging reinforcement, digital\nmarketing, and fulfilment of legality and certification, to facilitating\npromotion and participation in various marketing activities.<\/p>\n
From this mentoring ecosystem, several local MSMEs have shown\ncontinuous progress, including Nalura & Co, Madu Lusera, and\nSahada.<\/p>\n
Nalura & Co develops pandanus weaving crafts by highlighting\nlocal wisdom and Acehnese culture. Through the guidance of the Pertamina\nBUMN House, Nalura & Co has received strengthening in aspects of\nbranding, marketing, digitalisation, and product development.<\/p>\n
This assistance has encouraged business owners to focus not only on\nthe production process but also on building brand identity and packaging\nlocal cultural values as a product advantage. Product innovation is also\ncontinuously encouraged so that pandanus-based crafts can meet consumer\nneeds and tastes. Consequently, traditional woven products not only\nmaintain their cultural value but are also developed into products that\nare more functional and relevant to today\u2019s market.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, the BUMN House is not just a place to get information, but\nalso a space to discuss business development. We increasingly understand\nthat to move up a level, MSMEs must continue to learn and adapt, from\nproducts, branding, and marketing to the use of digital tools,\u201d said\nRatna Dewi, owner of Nalura & Co.<\/p>\n
Baron added that the company continues to encourage the Pertamina\nBUMN Houses to become centres for capacity development as well as links\nbetween MSME actors and various growth opportunities.<\/p>\n
