Pertamina Eco RunFest continues to strengthen its initiative as a\nsustainable event. Environmentally friendly principles form the\nfoundation and spirit of the Eco RunFest 2026 series of activities.\nPartnering with local sports apparel brand Manta Liberta, Eco RunFest\n2026 presents an eco-friendly jersey.<\/p>\n
VP Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron,\nsaid that the use of eco-friendly jerseys is Pertamina\u2019s commitment to\npresenting an environmentally friendly event with optimal waste\nmanagement aspects.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe use of eco-friendly jerseys is one of Pertamina\u2019s commitments to\nensure that the implementation of Eco RunFest 2026 truly prioritises\nenvironmental aspects,\u201d said Baron in a written statement on Friday\n(28\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Baron explained that the activity involves around 14,000 Eco Run\nrunners and 10,000 visitors to the Energizing Music Festival. Thus, this\nactivity becomes a broad space to invite the public to move together to\nprotect the environment.<\/p>\n
This spirit is also in line with the main message of Pertamina Eco\nRunFest 2026, which invites the public not only to run, but also to move\ntogether to protect the earth through various habits and real\nactions.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom a jersey, we can see how material that was previously waste can\nhave a new life. This is a real form of how sustainability principles\ncan be applied in an activity that involves the wider community,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
Co-Founder of Manta Liberta, Aldy Nur Prastya, said that Manta\nLiberta and Pertamina are committed to conducting research and\ndeveloping jersey materials dedicated specifically for Pertamina Eco\nRunFest 2026 with materials certified by the global recycle\nstandard.<\/p>\n
This collaboration is also an opportunity to show that materials\npreviously considered waste still have the potential to be processed\ninto products of value. The production of this eco jersey is projected\nto absorb up to 210,000 plastic bottle waste items, equivalent to 2.5\ntonnes of plastic bottle waste.<\/p>\n
\u201cBesides the recycled material aspect, performance features are also\na priority. The recycled material of this jersey also has\nanti-bacterial, anti-odour and moisture-wicking specifications,\u201d\nexplained Aldy.<\/p>\n
According to him, the development of products based on recycled\nmaterials requires the involvement of various parties, from material\ncollection, processing, to design and production. \u201cCross-sector\ncollaboration is important to expand the utilisation of materials that\nstill have value,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The eco jersey is one of seven sustainability initiatives in\nPertamina Eco RunFest 2026. In addition to the reuse of materials\nthrough the eco jersey, Pertamina presents eco innovation, eco mission,\neco talent, eco production, eco waste management, and eco education.<\/p>\n
