        "content": "<p>Bengkulu (ANTARA) - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional South Sumatra\n(Sumbagsel) has distributed humanitarian aid to flood victims in Lebong\nRegency, Bengkulu Province, as a demonstration of the company\u2019s concern\nfor communities affected by natural disasters. \u201cThis aid represents the\ncompany\u2019s commitment to assisting the public during emergency disaster\nsituations,\u201d stated Area Manager for Communication, Relations &amp; CSR\nat Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel, Rusminto Wahyudi, via email\nin Bengkulu on Tuesday. The company hopes that the assistance will help\nalleviate the needs of flood-affected residents while supporting the\npost-disaster recovery process. \u201cWe are also continuing to encourage the\nspirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration in helping communities in\nneed,\u201d added Rusminto. The flood disaster has impacted eight\nsub-districts, namely South Lebong, Amen, Lebong Sakti, Bingin Kuning,\nRimbo Pengadang, Uram Jaya, Topos, and North Lebong, with a total of 881\nhouses inundated. In addition, four schools have been forced to close\ndue to high water levels and environmental conditions that do not yet\nallow normal teaching and learning activities to resume. At several\npoints, the floodwater has reached knee height for adults. Pertamina\nPatra Niaga Sumbagsel provided aid in the form of basic necessities,\nhygiene equipment, essential items, and baby food supplies to help meet\nthe daily needs of the community and support the post-flood recovery\nprocess, especially for vulnerable groups such as infants and toddlers.\n\u201cWe express our gratitude for the assistance provided. Support from\nvarious parties is very helpful in the handling and post-disaster\nrecovery process, particularly for communities severely affected,\u201d said\nTantawi. The same sentiment was echoed by one of the affected residents,\nDarmawi, whose home was also flooded. He stated that such aid is greatly\nneeded during disaster conditions. \u201cThe water entered very quickly until\nour house was inundated. The back of the house was also swept away by\nthe flood current. We are grateful that there are still many parties who\ncare and help us in such conditions,\u201d said Darmawi.<\/p>",
