        "content": "<p>PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat (JBB) has\nprovided an explanation regarding the fire incident at the Stasiun\nPengisian Bulk Elpiji (SPBE) of PT Indogas Andalan Kita, which occurred\non Jalan Cinyosog, Cimuning Ward, Mustikajaya District, Bekasi City, on\nWednesday, 1 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Area Manager for Communications, Relations &amp; CSR at Pertamina\nPatra Niaga Regional Jawa Bagian Barat, Susanto August Satria, expressed\napologies for the incident. Amid the event, Susanto assured that LPG or\nelpiji distribution to the public continues normally.<\/p>\n<p>The company has prepared the Regular Alternative Emergency (RAE)\nscheme, supported by supplies from the nearest SPBEs, namely those of PT\nKenrope Sarana Pratama, PT Pacific Sumber Segara, and PT Dharma Wira\nSentosa,\u201d he stated, as quoted from a written press release on Thursday,\n2 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, he said, the primary focus is on post-incident handling,\nincluding ensuring the safety of nearby residents, addressing affected\nvictims, and workers at the SPBE site.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, police recorded a total of 12 victims in the incident.\nBekasi City Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro,\nstated that the victims suffered quite serious burns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor now, our data shows 12 people, spread across several hospitals.\nOn average, they have burns covering about 60 to 70 percent,\u201d he said at\nthe scene on 2 April 2026, in the early hours.<\/p>\n<p>The victims consist of local residents and workers at the incident\nsite. All victims have received medical treatment at various hospitals.\nPolice are also still investigating the cause of the fire and assessing\nlosses, including damage to residents\u2019 homes and shops.<\/p>\n<p>The Bekasi City Fire Department stated that the extinguishing process\nlasted around five hours since the report was received at 20:00 WIB. The\nfire was brought under control around 01:00 WIB, followed by a cooling\nprocess.<\/p>\n<p>The local government, along with authorities, has also set up an\nemergency post to support further handling for affected residents.<\/p>",
