PT Pertamina (Persero) consistently maintains the smooth supply of
energy throughout Indonesia by implementing reliable operations of its
energy distribution support infrastructure. To ensure the operational
reliability of infrastructure in the East Java region, Pertamina’s Chief
Commissioner, Mochamad Iriawan, inspected several operational facilities
of Pertamina Patra Niaga, namely the Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Juanda
and the Integrated Terminal (IT) Surabaya, on Monday (29/6). The visit
aimed to ensure strategic energy infrastructure operates reliably to
maintain smooth energy services for the public, particularly amidst
increased mobility during the school holiday season. According to
Iriawan, the reliability of energy supply is a crucial foundation for
economic activity, transportation, defence, and public services.
Therefore, supervision of strategic energy facilities must be carried
out consistently to ensure operations run safely, reliably, and in
accordance with corporate governance standards. “I want to ensure the
readiness of all operational lines, which are the lifeblood of the
economy and government in the Eastern Indonesia region, are ready to
perform their functions optimally,” said Iriawan. At AFT Juanda, the
Chief Commissioner verified the readiness of avtur supply, facility
reliability, and service quality for airlines so that the public’s
flight needs during the holiday period can be met without hindrance. He
also encouraged the acceleration of infrastructure and human resource
readiness in welcoming the implementation of Sustainable Aviation Fuel
(SAF) as part of efforts to support energy independence and Indonesia’s
Net Zero Emission target. “The task of maintaining avtur supply demands
zero tolerance for stock shortages or service interruptions. Juanda must
be one of the front lines in supporting the national energy
transformation,” he stressed. Dimas Bagus Satriyo Wibowo of Aviation
Fuel Terminal Juanda PT Pertamina Patra Niaga explained that AFT Juanda
is a strategic facility supporting the national aviation sector in the
East Java region. The terminal has a capacity of 20,000 kilolitres,
supported by 8 storage tanks, 7 hydrant dispensers, nine special avtur
refueller trucks, and is reinforced with 49 operators. AFT Juanda also
serves as a supply point for five other AFTs serving airports in East
Java, namely AFT Iswahjudi (Madiun), Abdulrachman Saleh (Malang), Dhoho
(Kediri), Notohadinegoro (Jember), and Blimbingsari (Banyuwangi).
",
