        "content": "<p>Wakil Direktur Utama PT Pertamina (Persero) Oki Muraza has explained\nthat the long queues for fuel purchases in North Sumatra were caused by\nfraud committed by tanker drivers. \u201cIn North Sumatra, the obstacle was\nindeed reports of fraud. Fraud by the drivers,\u201d Oki said after attending\nthe opening of the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem Summit &amp; Exhibition\n2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday. However, he denied that Pertamina had carried\nout mass terminations of employment related to the fraud by the fuel\ntanker drivers. \u201cThere were no mass layoffs there. He added\nthat Pertamina has now secured support from the Indonesian National\nArmed Forces (TNI) and fuel distribution is running more smoothly. Also\npresent on the occasion, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil\nLahadalia stated that Indonesia\u2019s fuel reserves are above the national\nminimum standard. He said the problem of long fuel queues in North\nSumatra was caused by drivers and is entirely the authority of Pertamina\nPatra Niaga. \u201cRegarding our fuel needs, our reserves are above the\nnational minimum standard. It is safe. The problem yesterday was the\ndrivers, but that is Pertamina\u2019s affair,\u201d Bahlil said. PT Pertamina\nPatra Niaga is accelerating the normalisation of fuel distribution in\nNorth Sumatra by operating terminals and petrol stations for 24 hours. A\nnumber of petrol stations in the affected areas of Medan, North Sumatra,\nare also being operated around the clock so that the public can obtain\nfuel more easily.
