Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), the Gas Subholding of\nPT Pertamina (Persero), has received three PROPER Gold awards from the\nMinistry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) thanks to sustainable\nprogrammes that have a real impact on communities and preserve the\nenvironment in operational areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis award reaffirms Pertagas\u2019s consistency and strong commitment to\nimplementing corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL)\nprogrammes that deliver tangible impacts for communities and sustainable\nenvironmental preservation,\u201d said Pertagas President Director Indra P\nSembiring in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The awards were presented by the Minister of Environment and\nForestry\/Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH) Hanif Faisol\nNurofiq to Pertagas President Director Indra P Sembiring and Technical\nand Operations Director Agung Indri Pramantyo at the PROPER event at\nTaman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta.<\/p>\n
According to Indra, this achievement is recognition of the company\u2019s\nperformance in environmental management that not only complies with\nregulations in its operations but also goes beyond standards (beyond\ncompliance) through innovation and community empowerment.<\/p>\n

He added that this success is inseparable from the implementation of\nvarious innovative programmes in operational areas that integrate social\nand environmental aspects.<\/p>\n
Pertagas\u2019s environmental contributions are strengthened through\nvarious eco-innovation programmes.<\/p>\n
In the East Java Area operations, the Eco Pori programme processes\nplastic waste into ecobricks to support irrigation while increasing\nagricultural productivity.<\/p>\n
In the Kalimantan Area, PISPA 2.0 utilises pipe waste and organic\nwaste to create irrigation and fertilisation facilities that reduce\nemissions.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the South Sumatra Area, the PESONA programme processes\ncow urine waste into organic pesticides to support environmentally\nfriendly agriculture.<\/p>\n
In line with that, community empowerment programmes are also\ncontinuously strengthened. Pertamina Gas Kalimantan Area operations have\nachieved PROPER Gold for the fourth consecutive time since 2022.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Pertamina Gas South Sumatra Area operations received\nPROPER Gold for the second time since 2024, and Pertamina Gas East Java\nArea operations once again obtained PROPER Gold for the third time after\npreviously receiving it in 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n
Through the Karyadarsa programme in the Kalimantan Area, Pertagas has\nimproved access to clean water through the Integrated Water Management\ninnovation (Aquagrid System) and transformed 2.5 hectares of critical\nland into productive land.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis programme also encourages cost efficiency, increased community\nincome, and strengthens village economic independence through BUMDes\ndevelopment and expansion of MSME market access,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In the South Sumatra Area, the Pusaka Artha programme has\nsuccessfully developed inclusive circular economy through optimal water\nmanagement and utilisation of livestock waste into economically valuable\nproducts. The impact has been an increase in community income, stronger\nfarmer regeneration, and greater youth involvement.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Cita Sembada programme in the East Java Area has\ndriven an increase in agricultural productivity to three harvests per\nyear, directly impacting farmers\u2019 income growth.<\/p>\n
This programme also strengthens environmental management through an\nintegrated waste management system and encourages more efficient and\ncompetitive MSME growth by involving vulnerable groups, including women\nand mental health patients, who are empowered in productive economic\nactivities.<\/p>\n
\u201cOverall, Pertagas\u2019s TJSL programmes have reached 17 community groups\nwith more than 11,000 souls as direct beneficiaries,\u201d added Indra.<\/p>\n
This achievement is also reflected in the Community Satisfaction\nIndex (IKM) of 3.49 in the very good category, as well as a Social\nReturn on Investment (SROI) value of 1.49, indicating the effectiveness\nand sustainability of the programmes.<\/p>\n
