To mark its 19th anniversary, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a\nsubsidiary of Pertamina\u2019s Gas Subholding, has organised a series of\nsocial activities as a form of concern for communities around its\noperational areas.<\/p>\n
Under the theme \u2018Energizing Growth, Empowering Communities\u2019, Pertagas\nis not only focusing on business growth but also on making a real\ncontribution to the social environment. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina\nGas, Sulthani, said that social activities are part of the company\u2019s\ncommitment to humanitarian values.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese activities demonstrate the company\u2019s commitment to social and\nhumanitarian interests,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The series of activities began with a blood donation held at Grha\nPertamina, involving active participation from Pertagas employees in\ncollaboration with the PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) of Depok. The social\nprogram was then continued with a Pertagas Goes to School activity at\nSMPN 17 in South Tangerang. In this program, Pertagas employees were\ndirectly involved as volunteers to share insights about the professional\nworld and the importance of social responsibility to students.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis activity is an excellent opportunity for us to share knowledge\nand experience with students, as well as teach them about responsibility\nand social care,\u201d said Sulthani.<\/p>\n
As a form of attention to the welfare of the elderly, Pertagas also\ncarried out renovations and provided assistance at the Tresna Wredha\nIndramayu Social Welfare Home. This activity aims to improve the quality\nof facilities and provide moral support to the residents of the\nhome.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the renovations and assistance, we hope that the elderly living\nin this home can obtain decent facilities,\u201d said Sulthani Adil\nMangatur.<\/p>\n
The 19th-anniversary celebration of Pertagas was also filled with a\nthanksgiving and prayer event at the Pertamina Gas Head Office. On this\noccasion, the company distributed assistance to eight social foundations\naround its operational area. Similar social assistance was also given\nsimultaneously to various foundations in Pertagas\u2019 operational areas in\nSumatra, Java, and Kalimantan.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe see the momentum of Pertagas\u2019 19th anniversary as the right time\nto share and strengthen social care. Our assistance is not only\ndistributed at the head office but also throughout our operational\nareas, so that the presence of Pertagas is truly felt by the communities\naround us,\u201d added Sulthani.<\/p>\n
