        "content": "<p>Perbanas to hold banking expo<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Federation of Private Domestic Banks (Perbanas)<br>\nwill hold the 2005 Asia Pacific Conference and Expo on Banking<br>\nTechnology (Apconex) here from May 18 to May 20.<\/p>\n<p>\"The event is expected to help banks, information technology<br>\n(IT) firms and other financial institutions deal with technology<br>\nin the banking industry,\" the Apconex steering committee chairman<br>\nJos Luhukay said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\"Nowadays, bank customers use advanced technology to make<br>\ntransactions, be they ATM, Internet or cellular phones.\"<\/p>\n<p>About 600 senior executives of national and international<br>\nbanks as well as those from IT companies and financial<br>\ninstitutions are expected to join the event.<\/p>\n<p>President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is slated to open the<br>\nApconex.
