        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) Profesional has\nestablished a partnership with the Directorate General of Islamic\nEducation at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the University of\nIndonesia (UI), and 112 public and private universities to strengthen\nprofessional advocate education. The collaboration is directed at\nbuilding continuity between higher education, professional education,\nand legal practice. The signing of the cooperation took place in Jakarta\non Wednesday (8\/7\/2026), witnessed by Minister of Religious Affairs\nNasaruddin Umar, Chairman of Peradi Profesional Harris Arthur Hedar, UI\nRector Heri Hermansyah, and Director General of Islamic Education at the\nMinistry of Religious Affairs Amin Suyitno. Minister of Religious\nAffairs Nasaruddin Umar stated that collaboration between universities,\nprofessional organisations, and the government is becoming increasingly\nimportant amidst the complexity of legal issues facing society. \u201cWe live\nin an increasingly complex society. Legal issues no longer stand alone\nas mere matters of regulatory text, but are related to social, economic,\ncultural, family, digital technology, power relations, and changes in\nthe way society understands religion and law. Therefore, we need what is\ncalled a justice ecosystem,\u201d said Nasaruddin. According to him, the\nadvocate profession holds an important position in maintaining the\nbalance of the judicial process while protecting the rights of the\npublic. Therefore, advocate organisations need to continuously improve\nservice quality, competence, ethics, and professional education on an\nongoing basis. \u201cI hope Peradi Profesional continues to strengthen the\nquality of professional services, ethics, competence, legal literacy,\nand continuing legal education for advocates,\u201d he said. Chairman of\nPeradi Profesional Harris Arthur Hedar said the cooperation would not\nstop at the signing of the memorandum of understanding, but would be\nrealised through the development of professional advocate education,\nincluding the Special Professional Advocate Education (PKPA). \u201cThis is\nnot just a ceremony. We are uniting forces to build legal education\nbased on knowledge, integrity, and morals,\u201d said Harris. According to\nHarris, Peradi Profesional also wants to improve the quality of\nadvocates through training and professional education, including a\nsharia-based education scheme. \u201cIn the future, there will be PKPA and\nprofessional advocate education, including general and sharia schemes,\nto improve competence,\u201d he said. Rector of the University of Indonesia\nHeri Hermansyah said the cooperation strengthens the connection between\nthe academic world, the government, and professional organisations so\nthat graduates have continuity from the education process to\nprofessional practice. \u201cThis cooperation enables synergy from upstream\nto downstream, not only at the academic level but also in professional\npractice in the legal field,\u201d said Heri. Meanwhile, Director General of\nIslamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Amin Suyitno said\nstrengthening the competence of graduates from the Faculties of Sharia\nand Law is one of the focuses of the cooperation. \u201cWe want to ensure\ngraduates have competencies that are ready to be deployed, including in\nadvocating for community cases such as divorce, sharia economics, and\nother legal issues,\u201d said Amin. According to him, the synergy with\nPeradi Profesional will be focused on organising the PKPA and\nstrengthening community-based legal aid services.<\/p>",
