        "content": "<p>Penajam Paser Utara \u2014 The Penajam Paser Utara Regency Government in\nEast Kalimantan Province has deployed personnel to monitor traffic flow\non the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) toll road, which will be temporarily\noperational during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah\/2026 Masih holiday\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe regency government is focused on ensuring smooth traffic flow\nand the safety of toll road users on the IKN route, which will be opened\ntemporarily during the Lebaran holiday by establishing monitoring\nposts,\u201d said Penajam Paser Utara Regent Mudyat Noor when asked about the\nopening of the IKN toll in Penajam on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists travelling on the IKN toll road from the cities of\nBalikpapan and Samarinda will exit via the Nusantara International\nAirport access road in Pantai Lango Village, Penajam District, to reach\nthe IKN, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, Paser Regency and South Kalimantan\nProvince, or vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMonitoring and supervision will be conducted on regency roads that\nconnect directly to the IKN toll,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The main focal points include the ITCI junction in Sepaku District,\nPenajam Paser Utara Regency, the route to the IKN Core Government Area\n(KIPP), and access to residential areas near the toll exit.<\/p>\n<p>Regent Mudyat Noor reminded residents planning to undertake\nhomecoming journeys to remain vigilant, comply with traffic regulations,\nmaintain safe distances and avoid driving whilst drowsy.<\/p>\n<p>The toll route will be opened free of charge from 13 to 29 March\n2026, according to Yudi Hardiana, Head of the East Kalimantan National\nRoad Implementation Centre (BBPJN), with operating hours from 06:00 to\n18:00 WITA.<\/p>\n<p>The 52.5-kilometre toll road, which will be temporarily opened during\nthe Lebaran period, can be traversed in full without traffic management\nmeasures, and two temporary rest areas have been prepared along the toll\nroute.<\/p>\n<p>Toll users from Balikpapan and Samarinda cities pass through several\nstrategic points, such as the Balang Island Bridge area, which serves as\nthe main link to Penajam Paser Utara Regency and the IKN region, as well\nas Paser Regency and South Kalimantan Province, or vice versa.<\/p>",
