        "content": "<p>Pelni to operate two new ships<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: State-owned shipping company PT Pelni<br>\nwill begin operating two luxury liners, KM Rinjani and KM Umsini,<br>\nin eastern Indonesia starting next month, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Syamsuddin Oemar of the company's Jayapura office said the new<br>\nships were expected to help boost economic development in the<br>\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>Starting on Jan. 19, KM Rinjani would sail a route between<br>\nSurabaya's Tanjung Perak Port and Jayapura with stops at<br>\nUjungpandang, Baubau, Ambon, Banda, Tual, Fakfak, Sorong,<br>\nManokwari, Nabire, and Serui. Each trip would take two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>KM Umsini, also sailing between Surabaya and Jayapura, would<br>\nmake port calls at Ujungpandang, Balikpapan, Kwandang, Bitung,<br>\nTernate, Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, and Serui. Its maiden voyage<br>\nfor Pelni would start on Jan. 26.<\/p>\n<p>The currently operating KM Dobonsolo and KM Ceremai would<br>\nmaintain their schedules in eastern Indonesia, while the schedule<br>\nfor KM Tatamailau would be altered.
