        "content": "<p>Pelni operates new ship<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned shipping firm PT Pelayaran<br>\nNasional Indonesia (Pelni) launched its 14th passenger ship,<br>\nBinaiya, from Tanjung Priok port here on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel was assigned the route linking Jakarta-Pontianak<br>\n(West Kalimantan)-Semarang (Central Java)-Banjarmasin (South<br>\nKalimantan)-Surabaya (East Java)-Batulicin (South Kalimantan)-<br>\nUjungpandang (South Sulawesi) every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The new ship, costing DM82.04 million (US$49.42 million), was<br>\nthe fourth of five similar passenger liners ordered by Pelni from<br>\nJos. L. Meyer GmbH &amp; Co. of Germany under a contract signed in<br>\nFebruary 1991.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Pelni had received 13 passenger vessels from the<br>\nsame German shipbuilding company which were procured with credit<br>\nfinancing from the German government.<\/p>\n<p>The fifth vessel, Bukit Raya, will be delivered in late<br>\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>According to Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto,<br>\nPelni isn't through ordering passenger liners from Germany.
