        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI\n(Persero) is offering a 20 per cent discount on container freight rates\nto support the smooth distribution of goods after Eid al-Fitr, effective\nfor bookings from 27 March to 30 April 2026. \u201cThis 20 per cent discount\nis not tied to the ship\u2019s departure date,\u201d said PELNI Corporate\nSecretary Ditto Pappilanda in Jakarta on Tuesday. He explained that the\nprice cut applies specifically to fleet tariffs for dry container and\nreefer container cargoes transported using five Pelni ships: KM\nDobonsolo, KM Ciremai, KM Gunung Dempo, KM Dorolonda, and KM Sinabung,\nin accordance with each ship\u2019s regular routes. According to him, the\ndiscount is only for fleet tariffs, while handling or loading and\nunloading costs remain at normal rates at each port. \u201cThis 20 per cent\ncontainer freight discount programme is a strategic step in maintaining\nthe stability of cargo transport performance, particularly during the\nlow season period after the Eid al-Fitr homecoming rush,\u201d Ditto stated.\nFurthermore, he noted that the programme does not apply to empty\ncontainer shipments, which have their own tariff scheme. The discount,\nhe said, applies to regular shippers with no quota limit per sender as\nlong as space capacity is available on the KM Dobonsolo, KM Ciremai, KM\nGunung Dempo, KM Dorolonda, and KM Sinabung.
