Pelita to use Kurniawan, Glusevic<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Pelita Jaya's striking duo of Kurniawan Dwi
\nYulianto and Dejan Glusevic will assume the role of spearheaders
\nfor the giant Jakarta-based club in the third Indonesian League
\nsoccer competition which kicks off today.<\/p>\n
Pelita Jaya manager Andrie Amin said Friday that club trainers
\nhave continued to sharpen the teamwork of the two strikers who
\nwill play together in a team for the first time.<\/p>\n
Glusevic from Montenegro returned to Pelita after playing for
\nBandung Raya on loan in the last two competition seasons.<\/p>\n
\"We have officially submitted a list of our players, including
\nGlusevic, to the competition committee. We have no problem with
\nBandung Raya,\" said Andrie.<\/p>\n
On the possibility of prolific scorer Kurniawan, widely dubbed
\nIndonesia's hottest soccer property, being called up again by
\nnational coach Danurwindo for the Asian Cup Finals, the manager
\nsaid he would let the player join the national squad.<\/p>\n
\"But frankly, we will have difficulty finding his replacement
\nin the frontline because there are already three other Pelita
\nplayers now on the national team. However if Danurwindo insists
\non including him in the squad, we have no choice but let him go,\"
\nsaid Andrie.<\/p>\n
The manager said the club would seek to make up for its
\nfailure to advance to the semifinals in the last two seasons.<\/p>\n
\"Now we have fixed our eyes firmly on making the final, or at
\nleast the semifinals.\"<\/p>\n
Pelita will host PSMS Medan at Lebak Bulus stadium this
