The meeting served as a\nmomentum to strengthen Indonesia-Saudi Arabia relations while exploring\nstrategic partnerships in the port and logistics sectors. Pelindo\u2019s\nPresident Director, Achmad Muchtasyar, welcomed the potential\ncooperation, stating that the relationship between the two nations has a\nstrong foundation to be developed into a strategic maritime partnership.\nMuchtasyar said Pelindo is ready to become a strategic partner in\nsupporting trade connectivity between the two countries through the\ndevelopment of modern, integrated, and competitive port services. He\nadded that Pelindo continues to undergo transformation through\noperational integration, service digitalisation, and the development of\ninternational-standard infrastructure. These measures aim to improve\nnational logistics efficiency while strengthening the global\ncompetitiveness of Indonesian ports. The company is also open to\ninvestment opportunities in several strategic ports it manages. Minister\nAl-Jasser noted that the visit provided an opportunity for the Saudi\ndelegation to observe firsthand the management of one of Indonesia\u2019s\nmain ports and to learn about the development of the country\u2019s maritime\nindustry. He highlighted that both Saudi Arabia and Indonesia are G20\nmembers with strategic positions in the maritime and logistics sectors,\nand both actively participate in international forums such as the\nInternational Maritime Organization, providing ample scope for\ncollaboration. The Saudi delegation also included representatives from\nRed Sea Gateway Terminal to further explore potential cooperation with\nPelindo.
