A Hajj pilgrim from Pekanbaru, Baharuddin Sidi Biditek, part of Group\n10 BTH, passed away in Mecca on Saturday (23\/5). The pilgrim died while\npreparing for the peak Hajj rituals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.<\/p>\n
The late Baharuddin Sidi Biditek, who resided at Jalan Paus Gang\nKayangan No.\u00a011, Pekanbaru, Riau, is scheduled to be prayed over at the\nGrand Mosque before burial in Mecca following completion of the\nnecessary procedures.<\/p>\n
Defizon, head of the Riau Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and\nUmrah, stated that Baharuddin passed away at 6:40 AM at Hotel Safa Al\nMarjan. He had a history of hypertension.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of the Riau Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, we extend our\ndeepest condolences for the passing of Mr Baharuddin Sidi Biditek. May\nhe attain a good end, have his sins forgiven, and may his family find\nstrength and acceptance in this difficult time,\u201d Defizon said on Sunday\n(24\/5).<\/p>\n
He explained that the government, through Hajj officials, would\nensure all rights of the pilgrim are fulfilled, including arranging a\nsubstitute Hajj on his behalf.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis pilgrim will be substituted by a designated official, and all\nhis entitlements will be covered by the government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He also noted that Hajj pilgrims who pass away in the Holy Land\nbefore the main rituals are entitled to insurance coverage as per\nregulations.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor pilgrims who die in the Holy Land before the peak Hajj period,\nbesides a substitute Hajj, they are also entitled to insurance as per\nregulations. The Ministry of Hajj will assist with all related\nprocesses,\u201d he concluded. (H-2)<\/p>\n
Causes of death among pilgrims include systemic inflammatory\nresponse, acute myocardial infarction, acute respiratory distress\nsyndrome, cardiogenic shock, and septic shock.<\/p>\n
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has personally checked the\nreadiness of accommodation services in the Mina tent area.<\/p>\n
According to the latest operational data, 527 groups comprising\n202,551 pilgrims and 2,098 officials have arrived in Mecca.<\/p>\n
Alongside humanitarian diplomacy, the Ministry of Hajj (Kemenhaj) has\nalso set a new milestone in Hajj management this year.<\/p>\n
Services provided extend beyond administrative aspects to include\nhealth, religious guidance, psychological support, and humanitarian\nassistance.<\/p>\n
Following a death, the body is handled by the company (syarikah)\nalongside Saudi Hajj Service Personnel (PPIH).<\/p>\n
Fatigue and weather conditions are suspected to have contributed to\ndeclining health among pilgrims.<\/p>\n
