        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 PT Pegadaian (Persero) recorded positive results in the\nfirst half of 2026, with profit rising 84% to Rp6.59 trillion from\nRp3.58 trillion in the same period in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Pegadaian chief executive Damar Latri Setiawan said the performance\nwas supported by a 52% increase in outstanding loans (OSL), which\nreached Rp155 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese figures show that Pegadaian is increasingly trusted by the\npublic. They are not just numbers, but proof of people\u2019s confidence in\nPegadaian,\u201d Damar said at the Danantara BUMN Progress Update 2026 on\nFriday (16 October 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He said the results also reflected growth in sales of Pegadaian\nproducts, including financing and gold investment. The company has\nstepped up efforts to improve public understanding of gold\ninvestment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo grow these products, we have to build public confidence that\nPegadaian\u2019s products are good and that Pegadaian is the right place to\nfind financial solutions and invest in gold,\u201d Damar said.<\/p>\n<p>Pegadaian has also pursued efficiencies by using facilities and\ninfrastructure provided by BRI, its holding company. It can also open\noutlets at BRI branch offices.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the company has promoted its Tring! service to make it\neasier for the public to access Pegadaian. Damar said these measures\nwere important to the company\u2019s future growth.<\/p>\n<p>Damar said Pegadaian\u2019s results had been praised by President Prabowo\nSubianto as part of Danantara, and that the company had been recognised\nas one of the successful state-owned enterprises (SOEs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is thanks to Danantara\u2019s efforts to ensure Pegadaian\u2019s\ntransformation strategy is implemented well. It is also a challenge for\nus going forward: how to sustain our current performance and improve it\nfurther,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
