Medan (ANTARA) \u2013 PT Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office I Medan has\nintroduced a gold ATM to make gold transactions more accessible and\nconvenient for customers.<\/p>\n
Yohanis Wulang, head of PT Pegadaian\u2019s Regional Office I in Medan,\nsaid on Friday that the machine makes it easier and safer to buy and\ncollect Pegadaian physical gold.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe gold ATM also serves to educate the public so they feel\nconfident investing in gold, while bringing Pegadaian\u2019s gold services\ncloser to communities. For now, the machine is only available at PT\nPegadaian\u2019s Regional Office I in Medan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The gold ATM is part of PT Pegadaian\u2019s efforts to reinforce its\ncommitment as a pioneer in Pegadaian\u2019s Gold Bank services. Nationwide,\ngold ATMs are now available at 20 strategic locations across 12 regional\noffices, offering physical gold collection and direct purchases through\nthe Tring! app.<\/p>\n
The machines offer gold bars weighing 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100\ngrammes, and have a capacity of about 4,000 grammes.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to work to provide gold investment services that are\neasy, safe and reliable, while offering a more practical transaction\nexperience suited to people\u2019s needs in today\u2019s digital era,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He said PT Pegadaian was still widely known only as a pawnbroker,\nmeaning its gold products were not well understood by the public. Some\npeople still believed digital gold was the same as risky online\ninvestment schemes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe gold ATM shows that one gramme of digital gold is equivalent to\none gramme of physical gold. Customers need to have the Tring app to use\nthe machine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Pegadaian hopes customers who have saved through its Gold Savings\nprogramme will be able to use the gold ATM when they want to collect the\nphysical gold.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no need for any hassle.
