        "content": "<p>PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi recorded positive and stable operational\nperformance at Kualanamu International Airport during the 2026 Eid\nTransport Post period compared to the previous year, particularly in\npassenger movements and flight operations.<\/p>\n<p>Based on operational data from 13-21 March, the total flight\nmovements reached 1,464, the same as last year, reflecting operational\nstability. Passenger movements were recorded at 208,030 people,\nindicating sustained high societal mobility during the homecoming\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis achievement shows a strong recovery rate of 102.6% compared to\n2019 or the pre-pandemic period,\u201d said Acting Director of Operation and\nServices of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Dedy Sri Cahyono, in a written\nstatement on Monday, 23 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>On the cargo side, Dedy said, the 2026 realisation was recorded at\n1,295 tonnes. Overall, cargo performance remains on a good recovery\ntrack with a recovery rate of 139.5% against 2019 achievements,\nsignalling that logistics activities remained maintained during the Eid\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>Operationally, the airport\u2019s utilisation rate showed solid\nperformance, with flight realisations reaching 94.8% of the total flight\nschedule. Passenger movements reached 88.4% of the available seat\ncapacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis performance indicates optimal operational coordination and\nreadiness of facilities in accommodating increased societal mobility\nduring the homecoming season,\u201d Dedy stated.<\/p>\n<p>Based on traffic data, the routes with the highest utilisation rates\nare Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Batam, and Singapore. The dominance\nof these routes reflects the high connectivity of Kualanamu as the main\nhub in western Indonesia, both for domestic and international\ntravel.<\/p>\n<p>Dedy conveyed that this year\u2019s Eid transport traffic shows good and\nstable performance. The recovery rate that has exceeded the pre-pandemic\nperiod serves as an indicator of increasing societal mobility and\nconfidence in air transportation. He predicted the peak return flow on\nH+7 or 29 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstimated passenger movements will reach 26,495 people. We have\nprepared anticipatory measures for smooth operations,\u201d Dedy said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to ensuring operational smoothness, Kualanamu\nInternational Airport also presents an Eid atmosphere for service users\nthrough various services and cultural activities in the passenger\nterminal.<\/p>\n<p>On H-2, passengers were treated to Sufi dances. After Eid al-Fitr\nprayers, a Halal Bihalal event was held in the passenger terminal area\nas a moment to strengthen togetherness among service users,\nstakeholders, and airport personnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMonitoring and evaluation are continuously carried out in real-time\nthrough the integrated post to anticipate traffic dynamics during the\nhomecoming and return flows,\u201d Dedy said.<\/p>\n<p>The Eid transport post was opened from 13-30 March 2026. During that\nperiod, the number of arriving and departing passengers is estimated at\n443,036 people with a total of 3,009 aircraft movements. To anticipate\nincreased traffic, there are 151 additional flights from several\nairlines, dominated by routes to and from Jakarta and Palembang.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 439 Aviation Security (Avsec) personnel, 61 Airport Rescue\nand Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel, and 1,237 ground handling personnel\nwere deployed to support operational smoothness. To support passenger\nconnectivity to and from the airport, ground transportation modes were\nprepared: 60 bus units, 70 taxi units, 175 online taxis, and airport\ntrain services with 24 trips per day.<\/p>",
