        "content": "<p>Peace talks remain deadlocked<\/p>\n<p>DAVAO, Philippines (Reuter): Government and Moro rebel<br>\nnegotiators failed yesterday to resolve a deadlock on integrating<br>\nguerrilla forces into the Philippine army.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the major issues blocking a final agreement to<br>\nend a 24-year rebellion in the southern Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>Officials of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) told<br>\nreporters the two sides, which had discussed the issue for<br>\nseveral hours at committee level meetings decided to toss the<br>\nissue for resolution to a meeting between MNLF chairman Nur<br>\nMisuari and chief government negotiator Manuel Yan.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting between Misuari and Yan was delayed by Misuari's<br>\nfailure to arrive as scheduled in southern Davao city, where the<br>\nnegotiations are being held.<\/p>",
