        "content": "<p>PDIP East Java held a Nuzulul Qur\u2019an commemoration attended by 500\norphans and 50 widows on Thursday 5 March. In this Ramadan period, PDIP\nJatim also distributed hundreds of thousands of basic food parcels to\nthe public. PDIP East Java chairman Said Abdullah said that since 1\nMarch they had distributed 360,000 basic food parcels across East Java,\nincluding rice, cooking oil and sugar. \u2018East Java has a large\npopulation, our capacity is what matters; internally we can all pull\ntogether,\u2019 he said, as quoted by Detikjatim on Thursday 5 March 2026.\nSaid explained why PDIP Jatim invited orphans and widows to the Nuzulul\nQur\u2019an event. He said their presence is expected to bring blessings to\nall party cadres. \u2018Why did the DPD PDI Perjuangan deliberately invite\norphans? As explained by Kiai Abdul Wahab Yahya, Deputy Chair of the\nReligious Affairs Wing of PDIP Jatim, there are 500 orphans. It\u2019s not\nbecause we want to give blessings; not because Mr Deni (Secretary of\nPDIP Jatim) Ms Reni (Treasurer of PDIP Jatim), Mbah Kakung give\nblessings; not because PDIP Jatim gives blessings, but because everyone\nin PDIP Jatim wants to receive blessings from our orphans,\u2019 he added. He\nhopes PDIP will receive blessings from the prayers of the orphans and\nwidows. In Islam, their prayers are believed to be answered. \u2018So the\nintention here is that at this Nuzulul Qur\u2019an gathering this evening, we\nsincerely hope the prayers of the widows and orphans will be answered by\nAllah SWT,\u2019 he added. Said went on to say that PDIP, as a party\ntraditionally associated with the \u2018wong cilik\u2019, wants to celebrate\nNuzulul Qur\u2019an with ordinary people, especially orphans and the needy.\n\u2018We do this because of our ideology, our love, the love of our party as\nthe party of the wong cilik, PDIP alongside the wong cilik. May the\nblessings be what we all obtain together with the widows and orphans\u2014God\nwilling, those blessings,\u2019 he said. He also hopes PDIP Jatim will\ncontinue to assist the \u2018wong cilik\u2019 and craft policies that are\npro-people. \u2018Hopefully this is not the last Ramadan for us all. God\nwilling, we will meet again in Ramadan next year, and we will pray for\nlong life, a blessed life, and a life that is blessed by Allah the\nAlmighty,\u2019 he concluded.<\/p>",
