        "content": "<p>The head of PDIP\u2019s central board, Andreas Hugo Pareira, has responded\nto PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), who recently highlighted\npublic transport problems in Jakarta. Andreas contended that transport\nissues in major cities are indeed a universal challenge faced by nations\nworldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransport in major cities around the world has always been a\nchallenge over time in order to obtain the best solution,\u201d Andreas told\njournalists on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that Jakarta\u2019s Governor Pramono Anung is currently making\ncontinuous efforts to find solutions to the city\u2019s transport\ndifficulties. He assessed that the steps being taken by Pramono remain\non the right track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Pramono, in his year in office, is doing his best to seek\nsolutions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Chair of DPR Commission XIII argued that whilst it is\nnatural for aspiring gubernatorial candidates to promise solutions to\nJakarta\u2019s problems, he emphasised that Pramono\u2019s leadership continues to\nbe on track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the future, if there are those with ambitions to become\nJakarta Governor and promise to provide solutions, that is perfectly\nacceptable. That is what we call pre-campaign posturing,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Cak Imin had previously criticised public transport problems in\nJakarta, claiming that such issues drive residents to consider leaving\nthe capital. He mentioned surveying ten residents about moving away from\nJakarta, all of whom expressed a desire to leave. He cited transport\nchallenges, particularly the difficulty in securing ride-hailing\nservices or public transport after work, with wait times extending to\ntwo or three hours during rainy periods.<\/p>\n<p>Cak Imin also noted that despite numerous changes in gubernatorial\nleadership, Jakarta\u2019s problems persist. He questioned whether PKB cadres\nmight need to take on the governorship to address these issues.<\/p>\n<p>He added that whilst waiting for a PKB member to serve as governor to\nresolve everything, he expressed doubts that the PKB candidate Hasbi\ncould deliver meaningful change, suggesting that the candidate\u2019s\npresentation lacks conviction.<\/p>",
