        "content": "<p>PDI-P urges Mega to make speech<\/p>\n<p>DENPASAR: Members of the Indonesian Democratic Party of<br>\nStruggle (PDI Perjuangan) in Bali are inviting party chairwoman<br>\nMegawati Soekarnoputri to deliver a political speech at the<br>\nparty's 29th anniversary celebrations in Badung on Jan. 23.<\/p>\n<p>\"Party supporters in Bali are really longing for a political<br>\nspeech by the party chairwoman,\" organizing committee chief I<br>\nMade Urip said in Denpasar on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Made, accompanied by PDI Perjuangan Bali Chapter chairman Ida<br>\nBagus Wesnawa, said they had approached Megawati, who was<br>\ncatapulted to the presidency in July 2001, but no decision had<br>\nbeen made thus far.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati is scheduled to visit Bali from Jan. 23 through Jan.<br>\n24 to open the congress of Muhammadiyah, the country's second-<br>\nlargest Muslim organization.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are hoping that Ibu Mega will spare the time to meet PDI<br>\nPerjuangan members and sympathizers in Bali,\" said Made, a member<br>\nof House of Representatives Commission III.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Megawati suddenly canceled her participation in the<br>\nparty's 28th anniversary celebrations in Denpasar, without giving<br>\na reason. -- Antara<\/p>",
