        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The PDI-P Central Executive Board (DPP) will impose\nsanctions on party members who exploit the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG)\nprogramme for personal interests or convert it into a business\nproject.<\/p>\n<p>The party with the bull-head emblem emphasised that there should be\nno commercialisation of the programme, which is financed by public\nfunds.<\/p>\n<p>This was outlined in DPP PDI-P Letter Number 940\/IN\/DPP\/II\/2026\nregarding instructions related to the MBG programme, issued on 24\nFebruary 2026 and signed by PDI-P Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto\nand DPP Disciplinary Chairman Komarudin Watubun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny violation of this instruction shall be viewed as a breach of\nParty discipline and shall be subject to organisational sanctions in\naccordance with the Party Constitution and Bylaws as well as Party\ninternal regulations,\u201d read one of the instruction points in the letter\nreceived by Kompas.com, cited Friday (27\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is strictly prohibited, either directly or indirectly, to exploit\nthe MBG programme to seek financial profit or other forms of material\nbenefit,\u201d quoted from the letter.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the prohibition on seeking profit, PDI-P members are required\nto maintain integrity and ensure no abuse of authority that could damage\npublic trust in the party.<\/p>\n<p>Members are also asked to oversee the implementation of MBG in their\nrespective regions to ensure it operates in accordance with applicable\nregulations, targets the right beneficiaries, operates transparently,\nand prioritises community safety.<\/p>\n<p>In its considerations, the DPP noted that the MBG programme is\nfinanced by the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), including\nthrough reallocation of the national education budget which is\nfundamentally intended for educational purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Institutionally, the DPP affirmed that the technical responsibility\nfor implementing MBG rests with the National Nutrition Agency in\naccordance with applicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>PDI-P politician Guntur Romli confirmed the existence of the circular\nletter.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that the instruction represented the party\u2019s firm\nstance to prevent members from engaging in MBG business activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccordingly, the party prohibits the involvement of members and\ncadres of PDI-Perjuangan in the MBG business,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
