        "content": "<p>PDI leaders urged to unite<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG: A senior member of the rift-ridden Indonesian<br>\nDemocratic Party (PDI) called yesterday for the rival party<br>\nleaders to use the Idul Fitri holiday to make peace.<\/p>\n<p>Makyo Sumaryo, Surakarta (Solo) PDI chief, suggested  that<br>\nMegawati Soekarnoputri and Soerjadi should &quot;sincerely forgive<br>\neach other&quot; for the party&apos;s sake.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;May they and their supporters reconcile during the Idul Fitri<br>\ncelebrations,&quot; Makyo said.<\/p>\n<p>The minority party&apos;s leadership ruptured after Soerjadi<br>\ntoppled Megawati in a government-backed congress in Medan last<br>\nJune.
