        "content": "<p>PDI anniversary in Senayan<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Organizers are expecting that more than 120,000<br>\nmembers and participants will flock the 27th anniversary of the<br>\nIndonesian Democratic Party (PDI) on Jan. 27 afternoon at the<br>\nSenayan Main Stadium in Central Jakarta, an executive said on<br>\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>\"President Abdurrahman Wahid and Vice President Megawati<br>\nSoekarnoputri will attend the anniversary,\" organizing chairman<br>\nPantas Nainggolan said at City Council.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati is the incumbent chairwoman of the Indonesian<br>\nDemocratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan), a breakaway<br>\nfaction of PDI which was established on Feb. 14, 1999, just a few<br>\ndays before the registration deadline for the June 1999 general<br>\nelection ended.<\/p>\n<p>Nainggolan, also a councilor of PDI Perjuangan faction, said<br>\nthe committee also invited leaders of other political parties,<br>\nforeign diplomats, cabinet ministers, and other state officials<br>\nto the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have received permission from the City Police to hold the<br>\nceremony,\" he said, while citing that more than 100,000 PDI<br>\nPerjuangan's task force members would also help secure the<br>\nprocession.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will stage traditional dances from Aceh and songs from<br>\nAmbon, in addition to Megawati's political speech.
