        "content": "<p>PBSI to send Hendrawan, Arbi to the Malaysia Open<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): World champion Hendrawan and former world<br>\nchampion Hariyanto Arbi have been added to the Badminton<br>\nAssociation of Indonesia (PBSI) list to compete at the five-star<br>\nMalaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur next month.<\/p>\n<p>PBSI plans to send 22 shuttlers for the July 17 to July 22<br>\nevent, including world championships semifinalist Taufik Hidayat,<br>\nRony Agustinus, Budi Santoso and Johan Hadikusuma.<\/p>\n<p>In the women's singles, PBSI is likely to send Lidya<br>\nDjaelawidjaya, Yuli Marfuah, Chindana Hartono and Ellen Angelina.<br>\nMen's doubles Candra Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto will compete in<br>\nthe men's doubles along with Budi and Johan, who will play<br>\ndoubles for the first time, and juniors Alvent Yulianto and<br>\nHendra Gunawan.<\/p>\n<p>The women's doubles of Vita Marissa and Etty Tantri will be<br>\nbacked up by juniors Rossi Riani and Diah Novita and another<br>\npair, Eny Erlangga and Novita.<\/p>\n<p>In the mixed doubles, PBSI will send Bambang Suprianto and<br>\nMinarti Timur; Nova Widhianto and Vita Marissa; juniors Alvent<br>\nYulianto and Eny Erlangga; and Hendra Gunawan and Novita.<\/p>\n<p>PBSI secretary-general Leo Chandra Wiranata said on Friday<br>\nthat some old hands, including Hariyanto, Ellen and Chindana,<br>\nwould compete at their own expense.<\/p>\n<p>\"We're only facilitating them to play abroad,\" Leo told<br>\nAntara.<\/p>\n<p>Training director Christian Hadinata said those names were<br>\nstill nominations and could be changed.<\/p>\n<p>\"The nominations were made based on the coaches'<br>\nrecommendation. Everything could still be changed before the<br>\ndrawing,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Christian said he had yet to hear information on the new<br>\nscoring of the best-of-five games, with seven points in each game<br>\nto be applied in the Malaysia Open and Indonesia Open.<\/p>\n<p>\"If the International Badminton Federation (IBF) applies the<br>\nnew scoring system, the players must warm up longer. They need<br>\nmore than just stretching and jogging.<\/p>\n<p>\"They must be more prepared. When competing for 15 points in a<br>\ngame, a player can still catch up even when he's down 0-5.
