        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Medical Association (PB IDI) has announced plans to\nissue a decree on take-home pay and working hours for doctors. PB IDI\nChairman Slamet Budiarto stated that the regulation would initially be\nimplemented in government institutions due to fewer variables, while its\napplication in the private sector is still being processed because of\ngreater complexity. \u201cSo later, there will be a minimum income for\ndoctors, calculated not as remuneration but as take-home pay, along with\nworking hours. We will send this to the Ministry of Finance and others,\u201d\nhe said in Jakarta on Saturday (27\/6). Slamet also emphasised that the\nprimary function of the Indonesian General Practitioners Association\n(PDUI) going forward must be to maintain and improve the competence of\ngeneral practitioners, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health\u2019s\ncollegium. He further noted that Indonesia is the only country without a\ndedicated medical practice law and committed PB IDI to forming a team to\nresubmit the proposal for a Medical Practice Act as a lex specialis for\ndoctors. The remarks were made during the inauguration of the new PDUI\nexecutive board for the 2026-2029 period, chaired by Ardiansyah\nBahar.<\/p>",
