        "content": "<p>The West Java Islamic Propagation Centre (Pusdai) has inaugurated the\nSodik Mudjahid Pavilion as a form of appreciation for his record of\nservice that has shaped the development of the institution at the Pusdai\nJabar Complex in Bandung on Tuesday (11\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) Sodik Mudjahid said\nthe existence of Pusdai Jabar was designed from the outset to strengthen\nthe role of a professional Islamic institution with broad impact on\nsociety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPusdai was built with four main functions: as a facilitator,\ncoordinator, dynamiser and innovator of the Muslim community\u2019s movement.\nThe combination of the maturity of senior figures and the\nprofessionalism of young people is the key to advancing this\ninstitution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sodik assessed that the early progress of Pusdai Jabar could not be\nseparated from the combination of knowledge and scholarship of senior\nfigures such as Prof KH Miftah Faridl, together with the professional\nspirit of the young, which were brought together to drive the\ndevelopment of the Islamic institution.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, the Miftah Pavilion was also inaugurated to\nappreciate the contribution of the Bandung Muslim scholar and\nintellectual Miftah Faridl in laying the foundations for the\nestablishment of Pusdai Jabar.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Miftah Faridl expressed his emotion and humility at the\nhonour bestowed upon him, while recalling the hard work of the first\ngeneration of administrators in building the Islamic institution.<\/p>\n<p>He also advised the younger generation to continue maintaining their\ncommitment to the propagation of Islam and service to the nation, and to\nregard ijtihad (independent reasoning) in various fields as a means of\nattaining Allah\u2019s pleasure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether inside or outside Pusdai, let us make it great because this\nis a legacy from the elders and officials in West Java,\u201d said\nMiftah.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the Pusdai West Java Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM),\nJujun Junaedi, said the naming of the two facilities was a form of\nrespect for the track record, scholarship and example of the\ninstitution\u2019s founders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe inscribe the names of great people on these pavilions so that\nfuture generations will see and learn about the history of the struggle\nand the existence of these two figures,\u201d said Jujun Junaedi.<\/p>",
