PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 4 Semarang, Central\nJava, announced that the 2026 Eid transport period, running from 11\nMarch to 1 April 2026, concluded safely, smoothly, and under\ncontrol.<\/p>\n
During this period, Daop 4 Semarang recorded an increase in the\nnumber of passengers using rail services, both for homecoming journeys\nand return flows. At Tegal Station, the number of rail passengers\ntotalled 177,087, consisting of 84,810 boarding and 92,277 alighting,\nmarking a 15% increase compared to the 2025 Eid transport.<\/p>\n
The highest number of passengers at Tegal Station during the\nhomecoming flow occurred on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, with 8,433\npassengers. Meanwhile, during the return flow, it was on Tuesday, 24\nMarch 2026, with 11,908 passengers.<\/p>\n
The transport capacity of Daop 4 Semarang\u2019s trains during the 2026\nEid period also increased by 4%, to 424,260 seats, compared to 408,368\nseats in the 2025 Eid transport.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the On Time Performance (OTP) for Daop 4 departures was\nrecorded at 99.50% for departures and 98.15% for arrivals. The total\nnumber of Daop 4 train departures from 11 March to 1 April 2026 was 746\ntrains, a 1% increase from 2025.<\/p>\n
Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 4 Semarang, Luqman Arif,\nexpressed thanks to all customers who trusted rail as their choice of\ntransportation to support their mobility during the 2026 Eid transport\nperiod.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe high interest from the public demonstrates growing trust in rail\ntransport as the primary choice that is safe, comfortable, and\npunctual,\u201d said Luqman in an official statement on Thursday (2\/4).<\/p>\n
Luqman highlighted data showing that passengers from Tegal Station\nduring the 2026 Eid transport were predominantly destined for Jakarta,\nSurabaya, Purwokerto, and Solo.<\/p>\n
Popular departing trains from Tegal Station included Kaligung, Tawang\nJaya, Airlangga, Kamandaka, and Joglosemarkerto.<\/p>\n
For stations in Daop 4, the highest passenger numbers during the 2026\nEid transport were at Semarang Tawang Station with 170,165 boarding and\n178,447 alighting, Semarang Poncol Station with 146,178 boarding and\n131,975 alighting, Tegal Station with 84,810 boarding and 92,277\nalighting, Pekalongan Station with 66,445 boarding and 69,514 alighting,\nand Cepu Station with 30,634 boarding and 33,897 alighting.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis achievement is inseparable from the various preparations\ncarried out beforehand, from enhancing the maintenance of facilities and\ninfrastructure, readiness of human resources, to optimising services at\nstations and on trains,\u201d explained Luqman.<\/p>\n
