        "content": "<p>Passenger movement at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta)\ncontinues to increase ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah in 2026. On H-4\n(four days before) Eid al-Fitr, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney\nAirports) recorded 169,843 people passing through Indonesia\u2019s largest\nairport.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Deputy Communication &amp; Legal at Soetta Airport,\nYudistiawan, explained that the figure was dominated by domestic\npassenger movement. \u201cFrom the total movement, domestic passenger\nmovement dominated with 128,452 people, whilst international passengers\ntotalled 41,391 people,\u201d Yudistiawan said in Tangerang on Tuesday, 17\nMarch.<\/p>\n<p>This figure represents an increase compared to the previous day,\nMonday (16 March), which recorded approximately 167,602 passengers.\nHowever, a significant surge is predicted to occur on the peak mudik\n(migration) period, forecast to fall on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTomorrow will be the peak, which we predict will reach approximately\n187,202 passengers with 1,193 flights, both domestic and international,\ndepartures and arrivals,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of congestion in terminal areas and long queues\nduring check-in and security screening processes, airport management\nauthorities issued important advisories for prospective passengers.\nInJourney Airports continues to mobilise personnel and facilities across\nall terminals to ensure passenger comfort and smooth travel during the\n2026 Eid transportation period.<\/p>\n<p>The government has provided stimulus through various sectors,\nincluding purchase tax exemptions, jet fuel costs, and other additional\ncharges (surcharge). Until H-4 Eid, aircraft tickets sold have reached\n50 per cent of the total 6.6 million seats provided by airlines.<\/p>",
