Pasaraya's customer cards<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Owner of Pasaraya Sarinah Jaya department store,
\nPT Pasaraya Nusakarya, together with telecommunication firm PT
\nGratika and insurance firm AJB Bumiputera 1912 launched a tri-
\nfunctional customer card yesterday.<\/p>\n
The card, called Pasaraya Customer Club (PCC) three-in-one
\ncard, is a combination discount, telephone, and insurance card.<\/p>\n
The PCC card, which Pasaraya's customers have used since 1990
\nas a discount card, will give customers a discount of between 2
\npercent and 10 percent at certain shops, hotels, travel agencies
\nand entertainment venues.<\/p>\n
As a telephone card it can be used with a service provided by
\nPT Gratika, a subsidiary of state-owned PT Telkom.<\/p>\n
PCC cardholders are automatically eligible for the Ekawaktu
\nAJB Bumiputera life insurance.<\/p>\n
Pasaraya president Usman Djafar said he was optimistic the
\nPCC cards would attract about 10,000 members this year.<\/p>\n
Usman estimated the new cards would increase the company's
\nincome by 25 percent this year from last year's Rp 300 billion.<\/p>\n
"Customers want the most practical solutions to everything
\nnowadays, they want cards that have more than one function," he
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Pasaraya has previously issued credit cards with Bank Duta and
\ndebit cards with the state-owned Bank Export Import Indonesia.
