        "content": "<p>Parties demand cheap flights<\/p>\n<p>MEDAN, North Sumatra: Several executives at airline companies in<br>\nNorth Sumatra province revealed on Sunday that, as the election<br>\ncampaign is underway, demands are on the rise from the political<br>\nparties for discounted flights.<\/p>\n<p>The party leaders argued for the discounted prices, saying<br>\nthey had to visit their supporters often during the election<br>\ncampaign, said Nasrizal, a general manager for Garuda Indonesia<br>\nAirways&apos; Medan branch.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Garuda had accepted some proposals from the<br>\npolitical parties for the discounted flights.<\/p>\n<p>The general manager of Adam Air, Sunaryanto, said that his<br>\ncompany would not give discounted prices unless the party leaders<br>\nbought tickets in large groups.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic flight seat capacity has increased to 80 percent<br>\nduring the election campaign, which started on Thursday, compared<br>\nto 70 percent on average before the campaign. -- JP<\/p>",
