        "content": "<p>Parking attendants stage protest<\/p>\n<p>CILACAP, Central Java: Hundreds of parking attendants rallied<br>\nat the legislature building on Monday to protest the local<br>\ngovernment's plan to increase its take of parking fees by 70<br>\npercent.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters called the increase from Rp 14,000 to Rp 24,000<br>\ninhumane and impossible to comply with.<\/p>\n<p>During their meeting with representatives of the<br>\ndemonstrators, councillors from Commission C for financial<br>\naffairs promised to bring the parking attendants' complaint to<br>\nthe local administration.<\/p>\n<p>Councillor Supriyanto Hadibroto said the increase was being<br>\nsought because the regency failed to meet its revenue target from<br>\nparking in the previous fiscal year. The local administration<br>\ncollected Rp 97.3 million of the targeted Rp 139 million in<br>\nparking revenue last year. (45\/lup)<\/p>",
