        "content": "<p>East Java Education Department has implemented a daily queue system\nof approximately 200 participants to ensure a safe and stress-free\nexperience for prospective students collecting Personal Identification\nNumbers (PINs) for the 2026 New Student Admission System (SPMB).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do not want panic over PIN collection to recur, as the process\nspans a lengthy period from 28 May to 9 June 2026,\u201d said East Java\nEducation Department Head Aries Agung Paewai in Surabaya on Monday\n(1\/6). During the SPMB process, all schools have been directed to\nprovide informative, friendly, and optimal services from PIN collection\nto registration.<\/p>\n<p>He added that parents and students need not arrive early at schools\nfor queuing, as schools have implemented improved daily service systems\nto ensure orderly and comfortable verification.<\/p>\n<p>Staff at school entrances have been deployed to provide information\non required documents and their completeness, preventing applicants with\nincomplete paperwork from joining long queues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInformation on necessary preparations is available upfront and on\nthe website; all matters related to SPMB will be handled,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>PIN collection services for SPMB 2026 run for seven working days from\n7:00 to 16:00 WIB. Schools also offer document upload assistance for\nthose facing difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have instructed schools to assist those lacking complete data,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to general information from preparation to\nre-registration, SPMB service posts also accept public complaints and\nassist in resolving issues during PIN collection and registration.<\/p>\n<p>Challenges identified include errors in grade entry by junior high\nschool principals, incorrect data input, and students\u2019 lack of diligence\nduring grade verification.<\/p>\n<p>The East Java Education Department urges students and parents to\nunderstand SPMB technical guidelines and prepare documents according to\nthe scheduled queue times.<\/p>\n<p>Teacher staffing needs will continue to align with the Basic\nEducation Data (Dapodik), based on student numbers, teachers, and\nsubjects at each school.<\/p>\n<p>For senior high schools (SMA), 20% of quotas are reserved for local\nresidents, while vocational schools (SMK) have a 10% local quota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis platform is designed to assist guidance counsellors in\nmonitoring students\u2019 mental health, identifying interests and talents,\nand providing appropriate support,\u201d<\/p>",
