Paramedics trained ahead of exodus<\/p>\n
SEMARANG: Central Java's health office is providing courses in
\nemergency treatment to paramedics, physicians and nurses.<\/p>\n
The course will provide training in how to handle any cases
\nthat might emerge as a result of the heavy traffic caused by the
\nannual exodus ahead of Idul Fitri this November. Those taking the
\ncourses will be assigned to health centers near the province's
\nmain roads.<\/p>\n
Speaking to journalists earlier this week in Semarang, the
\nhead of Central Java's health office, Krishnadjaja, said this
\neffort was part of the provincial government's Safe Community
\nProgram that was launched in 2001.<\/p>\n
\"The Safe Community Program is a pilot project that has been
\nimplemented in three provinces: Central Java, East Java and North
\nSumatra,\" Krishnadjaja said.<\/p>\n
Krishna said Central Java was asked to take part in the pilot
\nproject because of its strategic location near the populated
\nprovinces of West Java, East Java and Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n
Also, he said, Central Java has sufficient health facilities,
\nincluding numerous state and private hospitals.<\/p>\n
\"We do hope the courses will be of great help during the Idul

\nApi was the first restaurant in the city offering authentic
\nMediterranean food.<\/p>\n
The Mediterranean campaign also is aimed at changing Kayu
\nApi's image as a specialty restaurant offering only Italian food.<\/p>\n
For an appetizer, you can choose the Greek village salad or
\nthe adas bis silq (lentil and Swiss chard soup). The main courses
\noffer a range of choices ranging from the Egyptian eggplant
\ncasserole moussaka to Moroccan lamb chops.<\/p>\n
For dessert, try the muhallabia (creamy almond rice pudding)
\nor baklava.<\/p>\n
\"We are also offering paella (a Spanish rice dish) on
\nWednesdays and couscous (an Algerian dish of semolina and
\naccompanying food) on Thursdays to promote and introduce the new
