Parahyangan train stoned<\/p>\n

On Dec. 2, 1996, I traveled on the Parahyangan train (no. KA
\n16F) to Bandung, which left Jatinegara station at 7:42 a.m..<\/p>\n
The trip started pleasantly. However, the minute we left
\nPadalarang station, the windowpane on my left shattered,
\nproducing a startling sound!<\/p>\n
I suspected that the window was hit by a stone, the size of a
\nfist at least. I managed to catch a scurrying train employee as
\nhe passed by, who said that a similar incident happened at the
\nsame time up front. He also said the Parahyangan trains are
\nfrequent targets of stone throwers in the vicinity of Padalarang.<\/p>\n
I do not know what was behind the stone throwing. It could be
\nmischief, or social envy (train passengers are of the middle
\nincome group and up). I am so grateful for God's protection
\nbecause, only a fraction before the incident, I had withdrawn my
\nface from the windowpane!<\/p>\n
I am reminding the stone throwers: Your actions could be
\ndangerous to others. Village chiefs around the area of the train
\nrails should be keeping a watchful eye and look for these
\ndelinquents.<\/p>\n
I hope the incident will be a lesson and that it has attracted
\nthe attention of respective authorities so that it will never
\noccur again.<\/p>\n
